IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER

The due date for the application is March 1st.  Follow the directions for sending your material digitally.

Think ahead when asking for letters of recommendation.  Give that person enough time to get the letter together.  There will be times when they may want to set up a meeting with you before writing the letter.

Research and decide on a potential state initiative (Current initiative is for Ronald McDonald House)

Complete any required SkillsUSA work that is done through Absorb.

Have these completed by the state coference

Learn the required SkillsUSA and related knowledge.  ( You need to pass the test with an 80%)

You will also be delivering two speeches and participate in a question and answer session with the delegates.
